Sweats & Essentials - My last collection at Good American

For my last collection at Good American, I was initiating concepts, sketching into stories, and sourcing new finishings and techniques to tie back to their denim assortment. So from Fall-Holiday-Spring 2022, these are the designs I created for my category. All designs are based in our fleece program. However, I was able to source some alternative fleece for a new tactile feel, which is called “sueded fleece”, and I developed a customized heavy compression Terry (approx 510 gsm) as close to that of Alexander Wang’s compression Terry. I also added crystal embellishments to some of our core silhouettes and new silhouettes, for a bit of a refresh but without compromising our margins. In addition, I played with the idea of distressing fleece based on a Fall collection from R13. Lastly, you’ll see at the very bottom what looks like denim, but it is in fact fleece, integrated with indigo dyed yarns. I was not part of the final production phase of this style, but I did concept it, sketch it, and source into this idea.
